I work as a house manager and coming from addiction myself i can tell you that this place has the best staff and the greatest care you can have going through treatment. If you are looking for a place to turn your life around and get free from your addiction this is the place for you.

I walked in the doors of Northern Arizona Center for Addiction frightened, defeated, and assuming my sentence was death. From that moment I was shown true caring, concern and understanding from every member of staff. With their guidance I learned that all was not lost, that I was worthy and I developed tools to help me overcome my past traumas, grief and anger. My addiction has seemingly vanished, and I awake ready to take on the world again. Grateful doesn't begin to cover it. If you are struggling, give NACA a chance to help you see the sun again. You are worth it.

NACA is an absolutely top notch program. You can really feel the vibe of healing happening as soon as you walk in the door. Without a doubt they are equipped to properly diagnose and treat substance abuse along with any co-occurring issues. But to me, it's the extremely caring and compassionate staff that set them apart from the rest.

Our son entered this program back in February and just completed and graduated from this program. He already has a full time job, his own apartment, and working a great sobriety program. This was the third time our son entered a rehab program but Northern Arizona for Addiction was the only one he completed and graduated from. Jake and the staff were right there talking to our son and helping him realize he needed to get in there for help. Jake and the staff were great and I thank them so much for all their support and guidance.

This is an update of my review of A Sober Way Home ~ I deleted my original review. I have to admit, I was angry at the way my daughter was treated in what is supposed to be an encouraging community, thus my original review. I suppose in a business dealing with addicts and a range of differing personalities, sometimes information provided to parents by others is false or misleading. While my daughter was indeed very hurt by the actions of others, my anger was misdirected and for that I apologize to those at A Sober Way Home who truly had her best interest in mind and specifically apologize to Pete Stewart the Executive Director at Sober Way. I was given wrong information and he has actually since proven to be a gracious, kind, faithful and caring man wanting only the best for those in the care of A Sober Way Home. It is sad he was blamed for something that hurt someone else. In any event, A Sober Way Home is exactly where my daughter needed to be to get clean and they got her there. She is still clean today. She was able to learn a lot about herself, her disease and grew tremendously while there. For that I thank God first as I know that is where He put her and I thank those at A Sober Way who took the time to help her, counsel her and encourage her. Unfortunately, she was not able to address the real deep, serious issues while there and eventually she sort of seemed to fall through the cracks and that was disappointing; however, they did recognize that in the end, but that was after she had been there 9 months and clamoring to leave. We did find counseling to address those issues outside of SWH. The family or parent involvement program at Sober Way is not as effective as I would have hoped and, while it is discussed on their website, it really is only a weekend – unless you specifically ask for more time. Her first real house manager was simply AMAZING and helped her through the hard times. The next main house manager ~ not so much – she was young and often engaged in the house drama and that was unprofessional in my opinion. Sober Way, does a great job effectively trying to help and manage each clients and their addiction. Realize when seeking a treatment program that no program is perfect and, like all treatment programs; they encounter challenges in providing the correct plan, therapist, or guidelines for your loved one. Be involved and make a lot of noise early on if you feel like what they have set in motion for your loved one isn’t right. Make sure your loved one doesn’t skate or fall through the cracks; after all - nobody knows your child like you do. A Sober Way Home is a good treatment center with therapists that care. All in all they have effectively gotten individuals clean and sober and that is what matters.

Sober Way Home is the most wonderful place to go to for substance abuse. My daughter has been clean and sober for 2 years after being in the program. She now has a future because of the education she received. They gave her the tools and knowledge, so she would be able to help herself remain sober and taught her how to help herself when she had urges to do drugs again. We are most grateful for the staff and counselors for everything they did for our family.

We are so glad we made the call and entered our son into your drug treatment program. We were skeptical, but it was so worth the time, effort and costs... I'm almost teary eyed writing this. We didn't want our son to become a statistic, and are happy to say he's been clean and sober with no relapse. You guys gave him the tools and knowledge to stay strong & drug free long after leaving your program. We have recommended you to several friends. We love you Sandra!
